Another 20 pilot cities for used car export will be added across the country, covering 25 provinces and 30 regions

The Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Public Security jointly issued a notice to further expand the regional scope of used car export business. The 20 new cities and prefectures include Tangshan, Taiyuan, Erdos, Shenyang, Changchun, Nanjing, Yiwu, Wuhu, Fuzhou, Yichun, Zaozhuang, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Zhuzhou, Liuzhou, Haikou, Chongqing, Yili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Dalian and Ningbo.

Coupled with the first batch of 10 provinces and cities last year, there are 30 regions across the country that carry out used car export business, covering 25 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government).

The Ministry of Commerce requires all localities to strictly ensure the quality of export products and after-sales services, and improve enterprise assessment and exit mechanisms. The next step will be to establish and improve the export management and promotion system of used cars, and implement national unified export testing specifications and enterprise access standards.

Practice suggestions: Car dealers with export qualifications can focus on the pace of policy implementation in new pilot cities and give priority to buyers with overseas channels.
