At 12:52 on September 5, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture.

Xu Yu, Huang Zao and Fu Youfeng, three veterans who had just finished rescuing the Banan border stone mountain fire, signed up again to participate in the earthquake relief work of the Banan Rescue Team after hearing the news. The team consisted of 11 people and headed for Luding County at 8 pm on September 5.

After 8 days of hard rescue, they finally finished their rescue work and went home on September 13. Thank you for their selfless dedication, choosing to stand up in the face of major disasters, and leaving the army without fading, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and mission of the soldiers.

After returning to Chongqing, we also contacted three rescue workers, Xu Yu, Huang Zao and Fu Youfeng, as soon as possible, and conducted a simple interview with them.

They said that the rescue team received a total of three tasks after arriving at the scene. The first task was to set up a slide line on the rushing river and open up the rescue channel between Moxi Town and Gonghe Village.

After many attempts, local armed police comrades and Banan rescue team members finally succeeded in building a slide line on the river, a life channel from Moxi Ancient Town to Gonghe Village, and a total of about 30 trapped people were evacuated.

Xu Yu carried Zhong Jiayi safely through the zip line and delivered the child safely to his mother.

When Xu Yu saw this photo, he recalled that when the child was reunited with his family, the relatives were reunited and cried with joy. His eyes couldn't help but get a little moist, feeling that all the danger and hard work were worth it.

Due to landslides in some sections of the road after the earthquake, which made material transportation difficult, the rescue team also received a second task, opening a road in the barren mountains and wild fields to transport materials and facilitate the transfer of people.

Rescue team members cut down trees, uprooted weeds, and opened a path through the mountains.

They paved roads in rivers, survived in gravel, and marched towards the people in the disaster area with materials.

The third task is to transport relief supplies. Because the roads are interrupted, they can only rely on the most primitive human transportation. They are carrying food, water, and tents. The mountain road is not easy to walk, and they are carrying such a weighing burden. You can imagine how hard they are walking.

When the Banan rescue team arrived at Baiyangping in Gonghe Village, the villagers were a little excited and delighted to see their arrival.

After arriving at the scene, the Banan rescue team was warmly received by local villagers and prepared many fruits and drinks to entertain the hard-working team members.

Huang Zao and Xu Yu met local villagers who were affected by the disaster in the village. The villagers were a little excited to see the people's soldiers and burst into tears. Seeing them coming, they seemed to see hope, and everything felt at ease.

After Zhong Jiayi and her mother bid farewell to all the members of the Banan rescue team, the rescue team was about to return to Chongqing.

Their families all saw them on the news. When asked about their families, they just smiled slightly and thanked them for their understanding and support. If they still participate in such rescues in the future, they will definitely pay attention to their own safety and not worry their families.
