SASO stated in the notice that the measure was implemented in accordance with Saudi Fuel Economy Standards for Light Vehicles (Saudi CAEF) and was a compliance requirement in the regulatory system rather than a product quality recall or safety issue. Affected are newly imported light vehicles with a total mass of no more than 3.5 tons.
