New rules for automobile exports: not a stumbling block, but a filter

Recently, new regulations on automobile exports have been officially implemented. Many people are worried that it will become a "stumbling block" for automobile companies to go abroad and hinder China's automobiles from going global. In fact, the new regulations seem to raise the threshold for exports, but are essentially a "filter" that eliminates chaos and screens high-quality products, allowing China cars to go to sea more steadily and further.

The reason why it is not a stumbling block is that the new rules are never intended to restrict exports, but to regulate order. Previously, some companies took advantage of loopholes and disguised newly registered "quasi-new cars" as second-hand cars for export. Others dumped low-quality vehicles at low prices, which not only disrupted overseas market prices, but also overdrew the international reputation of China cars. After the introduction of the new regulations, it was clearly required that such vehicles be required to provide after-sales confirmations, and also standardized procedures such as license application and modified vehicle export, which is equivalent to establishing "rules" for exporting vehicles and making going abroad more compliant.

This "filter" filters out opportunistic and inferior enterprises. Those small and medium-sized enterprises that only think about low-price arbitrage and do not pay attention to quality and after-sales will have difficulty meeting the requirements of the new regulations on qualifications, after-sales outlets, etc., and will naturally be eliminated by the market. But it retains and nourishes high-quality companies-for car companies that focus on product quality, cultivate overseas markets, and improve after-sales systems, the new regulations eliminate the interference of disorderly competition, allowing them to compete fairly based on their strength and get rid of the shackles of "low price tags."

The filtering effect of the new regulations is ultimately to allow China cars to go longer. Now that China is already the world's largest automobile exporter, it is unrealistic to simply pursue export quantity. Improving quality and upgrading is the key. The new regulations force companies to shift from "fighting for price" to "fighting for quality and service," improve overseas maintenance networks and spare parts supply, help China automobiles establish an international image of "high cost performance + reliable service" and lay the foundation for long-term development.

In the short term, some companies may face transformation pains, but this is the only way to upgrade the industry. The new regulations on automobile exports filter out chaos and impetuosity, and leave behind strength and hope. It is not a "stumbling block" that hinders the sea, but a "filter" that protects the reputation of China's automobiles and promotes high-quality development of the industry. It will eventually allow China automobiles to gain a firm foothold and win respect in the global market.
