Chongqing has once again increased its number to promote automobile consumption. Recently, the Chongqing City Commerce Commission and other six departments issued the "Notice on Implementing the 2026 Second-hand Car Purchase Subsidy Policy." Starting from May 1, consumers who purchase second-hand passenger cars of more than 20,000 yuan in Chongqing can receive a cash subsidy of 1.5% of the car price and up to 4000 yuan.

It is reported that from 10:00 on May 15, 2026 to 24:00 on January 10, 2027, consumers can apply for subsidies through the "Chongqing Commerce Commission" Weixin Official Accounts,"Aishang Chongqing" Weixin Official Accounts, and the "Government Subsidy" channel of the Understanding Car Emperor App. The subsidy policy is implemented in accordance with the principle of "total control, first report, first served, and when used up", and will end when funds are used up or the policy expires.

This subsidy activity lasts from 0:00 on May 1 to 24:00 on December 31, 2026. Individual consumers can apply for subsidies by publicly soliciting participating second-hand car dealers in Chongqing City to purchase second-hand passenger cars (including new energy vehicles and fuel vehicles) of 20,000 yuan or more, and complete the transfer registration procedures as required. The subsidy standard is calculated based on 1.5% of the total boarding price of the "Unified Invoice for Used Car Sales". The maximum subsidy for a single vehicle is 4000 yuan and the minimum is 300 yuan. Subsidy funds are implemented in accordance with the principle of "total control, first report, first served, and while used up". Consumers should declare in time to avoid missing out on discounts.

From 10:00 on May 15, 2026 to 24:00 on January 10, 2027, consumers can use the "Government Subsidy" channel of the Car Emperor App (Select Chongqing-Second-hand Car Purchase Subsidy), or "Chongqing Commerce Commission" Weixin Official Accounts (click the "Government and Civilian Interaction" column and select the "Vehicle Compensation Declaration" menu),"Aishang Chongqing" Weixin Official Accounts (click the "Series Activities" column and select the "Vehicle Compensation Declaration" menu) Jump to the subsidy declaration page; Submit identification certificate, bank account, unified invoice for used car sales, motor vehicle registration certificate and sales contract and other materials online to complete the subsidy application. After the application is reviewed and approved, the subsidy will be paid directly to the consumer's personal bank account in cash.

The same consumer and the same vehicle can only enjoy one subsidy in this event. As the officially designated platform for car trade-in, consumers can also apply for Chongqing City car replacement renewal subsidies in a one-stop manner through the Car Understanding App, and obtain services such as door-to-door evaluation of used cars and high-priced car collection.
